Where are you located and how safe is it to buy here?
We create and ship our t-shirts in house and out of Southern California, USA.
We use Shopify, a level 1 PCI DSS compliant shopping cart and hosting platform, therefore our site is very safe to use and checkout on.
How are the t-shirts made?
Due to the variation amount of sizes, colors and designs, we print out t-shirts on demand with a high quality DTF process. This is similar to screen-printed quality and will usually outlast the garment itself.
We also offer embroidery products, which are made on demand when ordered. All of our items are made in house, in the USA.
Where can I find a sizing chart?
A sizing chart can be found on every product page.
Can you recommend a size?
Unfortunately, we cannot recommend sizing for any specific situations. Our sizing charts are directly from the blank t-shirt manufacturers and verified on our end, so we can only recommend sticking to the size charts for the best fit. If for any reason the fit is not correct, we have an easy exchange policy that can be taken advantage of.
How are the balloons shipped?
All of our balloons are shipped out deflated and in their original packaging. The balloons are intended to be inflated with air, but helium can be used with them. We do not offer helium, but all balloons can be inflated without helium and how received. Unfortunately, we cannot ship out inflated balloons at this time.
How fast is the product shipped out?
Our products are produced in house and often on demand, so we require up to 3 business days for our products to be fulfilled from our facility. Once fulfilled from our facility, there is an additional 3-6 business days of shipment time, depending on how far you are from our facility in Southern California. We also offer Priority shipping, which is 2-3 business days of shipping time. Occasionally, there may be a USPS delay, so please keep that in mind when ordering as we do not have control over this matter.
Can I cancel an order?
We give our customers up to 24 hours after the order is placed to cancel the order. All of our products are printed on demand. After the 24 hour mark, production has already started and we are unable to stop production of the item. If you would still like to cancel an unshipped order after the 24 hour period, we require a 30% cancellation fee on the price of the item and shipping fees will be fully refunded.

Order Tracking
How can I track my order?
Once your order is shipped from our facility, you will receive a shipment confirmation email that includes your tracking number. Please give us up to 3 business days to fulfill your order, before your tracking number will be available.
What is the status of my order?
We require up to 3 business days to ship out all products from our facility. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number from us that provides specifics on where your package is and when it's expected for delivery. If it has not been 3 business days since your order date and you have not received the shipment notification email with your tracking number, the package has not been shipped yet.
Please wait until after the 3rd business day to reach out on the status of your order if no tracking information has been emailed to you. Once the tracking number is emailed to you, please click the link in your email to track your package for updates, or directly enter your tracking number in the USPS website for the most up to date tracking information.
When will the tracking information be available?
After 3 business days from date of ordering, your item has been shipped and you should have received a shipment confirmation email from us that includes your tracking number. From there you can click on the tracking link to bring up the USPS tracking page. Once you receive the tracking number, please give USPS up to 48 hours to update the tracking page with the most recent information.
Tracking says delivered, but order not received?
If your order is marked as delivered, this means that one of the following must have happened. Either the package was accepted by someone at the address, the package was left with a neighbor or the package was left in a safe place near your property. Occasionally, USPS does mark the item as delivered before it has been. Generally, we will see the package delivered later that day or the following business day in this instance. Please reach out if it has been more than 48 hours since the item has been marked as delivered and not received.
Shipping
How is the product shipped?
We ship all of our products by USPS Ground Advantage. We also offer USPS Priority shipping for an additional cost.

Will I receive a tracking number?
Once your order is shipped out, we will email you with a tracking number. If you have not received your email after 3 business days, please check your spam and junk folder, then contact us through our contact page with the email used for your order and we will provide you with a tracking number.
Can you guarantee a delivery date?
We cannot guarantee a delivery date. Our items get shipped out within 3 business days from our facility and then get shipped via USPS Ground Advantage, which is an additional 3-6 business days. We also offer Priority 2-3 business day shipping through USPS. These times are not guarantees from USPS, only estimates. Please keep in mind that some orders do occasionally see small delays and we have no control over this matter.
Can I expedite shipping?
At this time we only offer 3-6 business day shipping through USPS Ground Advantage, or 2-3 business day shipping through USPS Priority Mail. Please keep in mind that these time frames are only estimates, not guarantees. We also require our 2-3 business day processing time in addition to these timeframes.
Returns and Exchanges
Do you accept returns?
If you're unhappy with your item for any reason, we accept returns on unused items within 30 days of the order being delivered. We currently do not offer returns on our foil balloons, but if your balloons arrive damaged, please reach out to our customer service agents. All returns will include a 20% restocking fee and can take up to 7 business days to process. Please refer to our complete refund policy during the checkout process for full terms.
Can I exchange an item?
Absolutely! You can exchange an item within 30 days of date of delivery. For exchanges, please reach out to our customer service email at help@notsobasicbirthday.com with your order number and information on your exchange. Please give us up to 24 hours to respond to your request. We waive all restocking fees on valid exchanges.
Your replacement item will be shipped out from our facility once we receive your original item. We do not cover the cost for the exchange to be mailed back to us and an additional shipping charge is required for us the ship the new item to you.
For faster exchanges, you can reorder the correct item and inform us that you will be returning the original t-shirt, but already reordered. In this instance, we will still waive the restocking fee and issue a refund on the original t-shirt once its received back to our facility. No coupons can be used on the additional order for exchanges as the refund on your original order must match the total paid on the replacement order, excluding shipping charges.
